The bottom line is I’m risking it and I hope any law enforcement will listen to my rationale. The cameras all allow me to see the standard 200 foot distance, I have a great synthetic display that shows me vehicles and pedestrians around the CT and I have red warning lights and cues if someone is a threat when I want to change lanes.

I figure some will buy that argument but some will not. Like having illegal window tint on my FJ in the Mojave desert, it’s an acceptable risk for me (one $200 ticket in a decade). But if they are going to be real strict then I’ll throw on the suction mirror.

Side view mirrors take less than 2 minutes a side to re install. I think I’d just keep them in the CT and show the officer just how easy the install is. ?

I don’t want to lose the camping storage space that two properly packaged OEM mirrors would require.

I decided to chance it before I pulled iff the lot! I took the mirrors off at pickup. I was going to try this:

I think I'll try the one you posted. The law for my state isn't clear to the lay person. My interpretation for my state is that I may need a drivers side mirror when I go for a safety inspection (even though my camera performs in a like manner to my original side mirrors). And if I do need it, I'll have this (or for towing). Once I pass the inspection, I'll take it off and store it in the vault or cargo bin until I need it again ?.

No police officers is gonna pull over a cybertruck based on it not having side mirrors. Such a silly notion, haha. They’re dumbfounded by the truck itself, not even understanding the mirrors are gone when the truck flies by at 65-75mph.
