If you are still covered under the warranty, bring it in and have it fixed... Then open and close it 50 times to make sure it It will work. I had the same issue I'd hit the button trunk would open 2 in and then stop and sometimes it would bang and then open the rest of the way I brought it in they said it was a voltage issue so they told me if it happens again bringing in will take care of you. So I never checked it... several weeks later it's still does it and every time I would go to the service center I forgot to bring it up. Finally I went there and talk to the guy that I talk to and he said it's not covered in the warranty I'll have to pay I mentioned that he said he would take care of it if it's still doing it and he says that's too long ago needless to say he went back on his word. I told him it was doing it on and off since they allegedly repaired it. My point of view it was an existing issue that was not repaired and they should fix it.
