The cyber truck has a built-in 48W power cord in the frunk, but it is not connected to anything. I would like to connect it to 120 V electrical jack similar to what is in the bed already so I can set up a small charging station. I presume a step down transformer would be needed.
I am aware that some cyber truck owners have already done this installation. I would be interested in any advice on how it went, how you found an installer, what parts were used, etc. I’m having trouble finding someone in the bay area that will do the install installation.

What do you mean by 48W power cord?
There is a 400W 48V DC aux feed available in the frunk.
What type of charging station are you wanting use?

You state that the CT has a 48”W” power cord in the frunk.

This is the frunk accessory feed and it maxes out at 400 Watts, not 48. It is 48 volt DC.

If you want to turn that DC into AC, it won’t be as potentially powerful in wattage terms as the bed’s 110 volt outlet. The bed has a maximum of 2,400 watts for the 110 volt AC outlet.

But if you want to run something small, like a laptop or anything less than 400 watts, you could install an inverter. Here is one website with a sampling of potential inverters.

Good luck!

Impossible. That's a 48v for accessories. I put 48 to 12v transformer in it to power my Light Bar in front.

What's your greatest need for the project? Is it possible to keep everything on DC, or do you specifically need AC power?

Ok so it is a 48V power feed in the frunk.
My intention was to have a normal electrical jack (such as the small ones in the bed) to plug a usb-hub into, to charge phones and lights when camping.
However it seems that this may be overly optimistic. Perhaps there is an existing 48v > usb hub converter kit? Maybe it’s just not worth doing.

You can also go 48V -> 12V -> automotive USB charger

The 7 pin trailer connector has 13.5V on the Aux pin and you can buy cigarette lighter style adapters for it.

So what’s behind the panel with the 1x240v and 2x120v plugs in the bed? Is it possible to hardwire an extension cord there that does not require the door to remain open?
If that’s the case it’s just a matter of length and routing to make it come out in the frunk.

Thank you @mongo. Somehow I knew you would know. I don’t see why you couldn’t hardwire in here with a three prong cable and run it under the sail panels and down to the behind the frunk space and put a plug there. You could then put a dummy plug cap into that bed plug or just fuse your plug in such a way as to ensure the sum of the two doesn’t exceed the limit on the plug (though even if it did; it’s electronically fused).
The only thing I see as problematic is how to deal with Tesla if you have any issues with the system.
