I have tried 2 other products that power through the trailer lights hook up and it has activated trailer towing in the truck each time. Can you show screen shot with product activated and plugged in.

Will “activated trailer towing” impact driving performance? in other words will it go into beast mode?

I’d buy a CyberBeast version of the Frunk Light. Better yet, a Cerberus (Three Headed Dog) Logo in Red for a Frunk Light. It would be reminiscent of popping the hood of our old Muscle Cars back in the day! “Let’s see what you got under the hood” ….. “Whoa… a Tri Motor CyberBeast!”

There are multiple automated adjustments etc. that activate when in towing mode. I do not have a Beast so can’t comment on that. I run all auxiliary lighting through auxiliary power found in the Frunk including Rock lights, under-glow, bumper off road lights with puddle. The advantage to a trailer hookup would be that they come on automatically with headlights, and turn signals. The thing missing from this product would be augmented reverse lighting / rear spot light feature.

I do not have this rear chase light (but I am interested!), but I did install my own split tailgate light bar on my CyberTruck (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CTMK16CY?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_4&th=1) - I actually made custom 3d printed brackets to go under the license plate to allow the light bar to fit a bit under the plate to make it all fit perfectly and secure - I can post pictures sometime).

Anyways, I put a splitter on the 4 pin trailer light connector, and connected the light bar to one of the 4 pin connectors. I can say that yes, every time I get in the truck it thinks I have a trailer attached, and I have to quickly tap the screen twice to make the trailer brake menu go away. Not a huge deal, but it is slightly annoying - and the trailer icon is always on the left side of the screen (in yellow).

So far I have been ok with it, but I also only drive the truck 2-3 times per day, not 20 times per day

I have been trying to determine if I can hook up the reverse light wire, which I do not think I can do to the 48V wiring... but haven't tried anything as of yet.

I am interested in these lights tho, as the plug-and-play does look cool!

I have installed a front light bar (under the frunk), and a top light bar (from Unplugged Performance) which I have been pretty happy with.

It will think it is pulling a trailer, but you can disable it every time you drive... ya, not perfect, but it is just two taps on the screen, so not terrible (IMHO)

This has been thoroughly tested, and it won’t cause any problems.

Can you explain "will not cause any problems" in more detail I did not place an order for the package deal because I already have two trailer profiles and felt that when I plugged in the rear chase light the truck was going to assume I had a trailer. If it is now problem how do I go about modifying my order.

To everyone asking about the wiring. yes you can put a splitter on the 4 pin. yes it will always go into trailer mode. There are 2 trailer modes. one with lights only and one with an actual trailer. it defaults to the trailer (Blue Light) you can then exit trailer mode (light goes Yellow) that is for carrying platforms with lights. also works with tailgate lights. etc. instead if you use a 7 pin connector and cut down the center piece, throw away the outer housing. then your 4 pin is unobstructed, and you can hook up the other 3 wires, Reverse, 12v aux power, and e-brakes. Wouldn't touch the e-brakes but the other 2 work fine. Cutting down the inner piece and not using the housing defeats the only-one-door-open wiring cover.

Finally received the frunk LED kit today and installed it.

took about 20 minutes for installation.

Super bright and it's not as bulky and it looks on photo.(I mean the protrusion)

the only downside is it doesn't lit up just by opening the frunk but only if a door is opened or in camp mode. Need to figure out the specific condition.
