Frustrating that Tesla Won't Ship Parts

My wife cracked side view mirror on our CT. I life 5 hours from nearest Tesla service center so I contacted them to order replacement part. However, they said they won't ship any parts and I have to come in to purchase the part. It takes about 5 minutes to replace the side view mirror myself, but they want me to drive 10 hours to pick up a part! Telsa has mobile service in my area once a month, but they said they can't bring the part when they're in the area. Totally frustrating. Elon should focus on DOTE instead of DOGE.

I would go through ebay at that point, I can order one as well and ship it to you if needed

I have encountered the same problem, and have had to have people go to SC, and then Fedex me parts for my S.

Kind of dumb to not allow a part that is not restricted to be shipped to the address of record. If the VIN matches to the account. Tesla should be helpful to customer, and not create reasons to not allow direct sales in states. Tesla could do better.
