Thanksgiving round trip Las Vegas - Portland - Las Vegas. 2,037 miles, FSD usage 88%. Usage would have been much higher except for the problems. Also on 2 lane roads I almost always disengage when passing not unusual to jump up to 80-90 plus when passing.

Overall with the exceptions for the issues noted super trip and FSD made it much less stressful and tiring.

Problem encountered, State highway's going through small towns and speed limit reduced to 35 or 45 and speed limit didn't reset to 55 or 65 afterwards. forced into mad max mode to be able to get speed back up.

Whose idea was to take away the scroll wheel ability to change speed? Dumbest move yet! choices were chill @ +2 MPH over the speed limit, standard+5 over, and hurry at +10

Nice looking trip.
FSD 14.2 is a solid helper on the highway, going into towns where the speed drops have to watch it like a hawk to prevent going way over.
Here is to hoping your next trip on 14.3 is 100% with fewer issues

Just did a 2k mile trip from AZ to Den, FSD 99.9% with very few interventions. A couple of issues were swerving for “road repairs” and I believe it would pull over if there was someone following close. I thought it was going to make a wrong turn because the right turn signal would go on, so I intervened, but now I’m thinking it was just pulling over to let the car pass.

To achieve speed control, I just use the scroll wheel to go from Sloth to Mad Max, and that works just about the same as the original speed control.

I have to switch modes depending on where I'm driving.
In town mostly standard & chill.

If it slows down for any reason, it doesn't seem to speed up again.
I end up using the accelerator to get it going again.

Highway hurry.

Staying on FSD for long trips has been a piece of cake for years. That's not much more than adaptive cruise control with lane guidance.

It's when you get off the big roads that it shines.

I'm currently on a 600 mile trip and will probably be over 90% FSD. But I am driving a HW3 car with V12

This is awesome! I drove from Denver to Chicago and back, 93 miles manual due to white out snowy conditions. 🤣
