Can someone honestly explain the fuss about FSD if you still need to watch the road?
It's not like you can take a nap, play videogames, eat a meal, or watch TV.
Maybe I am missing something.
I recommend you call an Uber, you can do all those things and not watch the road.

I'm sure my driving habits attributed to it's roll out. All the demolition derby s I've been in have finally paid off.

I got it last night and installing it right now. I did sign up for early release software updates but that never got me any of the other updates sooner. Very exciting!
[/QUOTE Please explain how you “signed up”?

Uber > FSD, but the cost per mile is exceptionally high.

FSD is okay and trending towards good, but the excitement is watching innovation in real time. I was one of the very first people with FSD in my M3 and it was awful, it is remarkably better in its current state.

We are beta testing automation in our Teslas. When (if?) we do not need to look at the road, then it will make Uber obsolete.

Well, after watching a few videos so far. It is perfectly ready, if you don't mind going over a few medians, maybe hitting a freeway guardrail or two, or sideswiping a car here and then. ;-)

Def pay attention when using FSD for sure for quite a while. I will view it as a temporary aid at times or assist on an easy freeway route long distance.

How did you sign up? Or you just mean the option in the car?

Exciting news. But does this update come with the new horn sound? I want that horn.
Just got my cybertruck Saturday (SO FUN). The horn is actually epic. It's like a digital foghorn. Love it.

It's both a magical experience and mundane at the same exact time. I say that because it is impressive what it can do with just cameras and GPS. But right now you still have to nearly drive it yourself. You still have to pay attention like you would when you were normally driving and be ready within milliseconds to react if things go off the rails.

Despite the promise of the technology, you cannot trust it on its own right now. It can do 99.9% of the driving, but that 0.1% could kill you or at a minimum damage your CT.

I enjoy using it and I'm looking forward to the future where I can trust it more than I can trust myself.
I use it on my model Y. I am complacent. It just drives me. I probably am not ready to react because it is so good I go months without critical interventions. It's just a calm relaxing drive. Sure...it's not perfect and I have to be ready. But ....it's already amazing and I am happy even with what it does right now. It's going to get even better? Well....thats just bonus.

I watched the whole mars catalogue video and other than turning too tight once it seems pretty good. Even whole mars guy said he would start driving it daily.
