Sure all vehicles with FSD will eventually get actual FSD, but we don't know when that will be.

They said they wanted to solve autonomy first, then they would see what they could do with HW3 and if they couldn't provide unsupervised FSD, they would upgrade at no cost. That's likely a long ways out.

Currently, HW3 has a V13-lite in 12.6.4 and is said to get a V14-lite in Q2 next year, likely still on a V12 code base.
I see. So grok IS full of shit. I can’t just walk into the SC and request an upgrade for free.
Will they do it for $1500 though?
Both our cars are HW4 but there are some pretty good deals out there on older cars and I was thinking of getting a smaller y or 3 to keep up in Washington.

Tesla hasn't designed an upgrade from HW3 to HW4, yet.

Grok may be referring to the upgrade from HW 2.5 to HW3, which many did get, but there's no upgrade created yet to HW4.

The form factor of HW4, connectors, everything is completely different. They are going to have to develop an upgrade and it could even be HW5 or a HW4.5...again, likely a ways off.

So if I want hw4, it’s a highland, a juniper, a 2023 or newer y, s or x.
Got it. Thanks for breaking that down for me. Don’t know why that was so confusing…
Wait, I do, Grok.

At this point, I'd just wait for an AI5 outfitted vehicle in say 1+ years to be future proofed on FSD for perhaps the next 5-6 years.

Probably a smart move. I will probably just wait for SBW on the Model S, and upgrade the whole vehicle then, hopefully with FSD transfer. These cars are not cheap, so an upgrade at 3 years seems silly.

I guess we'll soon find out if I was right or wrong about build numbers 2025.32 vs 2025.38.
Imagine if everyone here updated to Tron update (2025.38) and now no one will get the update šŸ˜…

Hopefully, whomever that person who posted that software version vs FSD version, are separate branches will be right or else we'll have a lot of unhappy Tron update (2025.38) owners who wished they stayed at 2025.32.
I was thinking FSD would release on 2025.42.0 or 2025.42.69

Would everyone be happier if they were 0-5? Or -2 to +2 with default being zero?
Yes.

After a routine trip in my Model Y with FSD 14.1.4 I would say it "sucks."

Standard had my speed on a 55 mph intercity interstate section up to 69 mph. Chill speed was 57 mph. Why can't I set it to 60, 61, 62...?

Chill had my speed at 67 on a 65 mph interstate. I wanted to have my speed set to 68. Not 73 on Standard.

Each driver has their own sense of what's an appropriate speed, which can vary based on conditions. I don't like that we're no longer able to fine-tune speed, based on our individual preferences.

ā€œCould push this weekendā€ā€¦
Should we expect a new thread like this every weekend? Or, every new day? Haha
FSD V14 did push out to some early access Cybertrucks last night - confirmed by Cybertruck chief engineer Wes Morrill.

It's just the early Youtubers. We're still about two weeks away according to the timing of the EA to mass release schedule for the last major release.
