I did a lot of highway driving today. I had a job out in Glendale, so I drove on the 605N to the 60E to the 5N to the 134W to get there and back home took another route 134W to the 210W to the 605S made it home with 15% left on my battery. that's the lowest it's ever been. but that's a topic for another thread.
I want to talk about FSD. I got to admit this thing has come together and it did excellent throughout the whole trip on the highway. only thing is all the warnings I got for giving it more accelerator pedal inputs and excessive speed once the warning would not go away flashing hazard lights and annoying beeping and red screen that put me in a situation where I was slowing down too much just to try and clear the warning. There should be an override option on the screen once you are aware then let the driver end the warning. I think that making you slow down to speeds slower than speed limit is more of a danger than just letting you drive at traffic speeds even if they are well above speed limit. it also attracts unwanted attention from police at the worst time when you may be breaking the law because it not only looks that way, but the car is confirming his observation. Hay, look at me I'm going too fast and now I stick out like a sore thumb. That and warnings that autopilot will not brake when the accelerator is being pushed every time I did it. Do you have to get a warning every time? I think once per trip is enough.
anyone else have this experience? besides the warnings I had a fun driving today. There were almost no traffic jams it was heavy but moving fast. I love my truck! once you go CB you will never go back.

Getting the warnings when pushing the accelerator is new with this update. I had to do it all the time with previous updates and never got a warning.
I just completed 500 mile trip from North Atlanta to New Orleans on V13.2.2 with NO interventions, compared to the drive up to Atlanta on V12.5. The issues of maintaining and controlling speeds, in my opinion have been resolved with this latest update. You can select your MAX Speed which FSD does a good job of maintaining, at least on the interstate hwy. I didn’t experience any photon reduction in speeds (experienced several on V12.5) and never once had to manually increase speed, which again was a pain on V12.5. Trip was a total enjoyment.

I agree the speed issues have mostly been resolved, but there are still issues with showing wrong speed limits in certain areas and I need to press it to go faster.

Rather than slowing down I tend to disengage using the steering wheel button while still pressing on the accelerator and then re-engage in a bit. But I typically still have my hands on the wheel when in FSD. I have the same issue with it registering a different speed than posted speed in a number of places and scrolling up the speed doesn’t get the truck to get up to the speed in a timely manner.

True, rolling scroll wheel won’t cause CT to speed (as in auto pilot) but it will get there in time and maintain speed, again depending on traffic flow. Before if traffic flow was going 90 mph, so did CT to keep up, not anymore stops at you set Max speed.

My problem is usually single lane country road, no one in front of me, someone behind me and speed limit sign increases to 75 but truck stays at 67 max speed set for 60. So I scroll up and push the accelerator to get up to speed and then I might get the flashing warning. Then I might disengage and re engage rather than slow down and irritate the person behind me.

You evidently haven't seen the newest software V13.2.2.

why don't you tell us about it?
what does the new software do better on what we're talking about here with FSD highways?
