Anyone having this issue? I've noticed it won't turn at an intersection based on your turn signal if it deviates from the trip route but i'm not referring to that... Just getting out of the way of upcoming traffic...

In these instances, there are no cars in any reasonable distance and the road is a straight away for 3-4 miles minimum. I'm literally just wanting to get the ct to move out of the fast lane for a faster approaching car. I've had it happen a few times where we will battle and up to 3 times it will turn off my blinker and stay in the lane.

Changing modes is not the answer either. It should shift lanes at the drivers request provided its safe to do so. Or is that not it's intended behavior? It seems to obey the blinker 80-90% of the time everywhere else for me.

From my experience, I use the turn signal and a gentle steer of the wheel to redirect the vehicle while in FSD.

^ this. right now, a manually activated turn signal is only a light suggestion for FSD.

This is my biggest complaint about FSD currently. It is horrible at lane changes. Most of the time, if I use the turn signal to change lanes, it will flash 10-15 times , before it starts to move over, even with no no-one around. It if I'm in the passing lane, and someone comes up behind me, it usually does a good job indicating that it is going to change lanes(turns on turn signal, still take forever to get over though). But if it decides to pass, and as it's passing, someone comes up behind, it will turn on signal, even with a vehicle right beside it(I've only noticed this with large trucks beside me). I'm not sure how I feel about that, I think I'm ok with it, because it lets the car behind me know I'm going to get back over as soon as I get around this truck.

I think the slow lane change might be due to the new setting that turns on `comfort` mode.

Yea I disabled auto comfort mode with no change and know exactly what you are talking about with the sluggish lane changes. Sometimes its more natural than others. I can tell its "mood" pretty quickly.

Feels like an eternity when you get a slow lane change. Seems to be inconsistent with its creeping after coming to a stop at a stop sign as well.

We should probably disable FSD on any slow lane change, or “ignoring” lane change request. And report it. It’s the only way we will ever get better FSD.

This happens all the time in my CyberBeast, regardless of traffic, but almost never in my Model 3. The Beast does NOT want to get out of the passing lane.
