What is your experience with FSD and turn signals? It's about the only remaining issue that causes me to sometimes disengage FSD. On my Cybertruck, FSD signals right turns way too soon, sometimes passing two or three possible streets before getting to the actual street confusing people behind me. But the behavior that embarrasses me the most is when I get to a traffic circle and it puts on the left turn signal. Then, off course, while in the circle, it tries to signal to the right to get out but hits the previous issue and passes multiple exits.

The early turn signal is pretty constant but the left signal for traffic circles only happens on about 50% of circles (but is consistent on each affected circle). Any idea why? Is it legacy map data? One circle near my home that always does it is new and replaced a busy intersection. It is now show correctly on the map as a circle but could there be left over meta data somewhere about it?

I don’t think it signals too early when turning right or left onto a street, but I DO agree with you that it signals too early when in traffic circles. It needs to wait a bit more to get closer to its actual exit turn then signal!

My truck is driving me nuts with turn signal going off for ever and not changing lanes even though it’s safe to switch ! This is happening even in hurry mode, and following traffic well below speed limits.

I have a regular journey and it signals early enough to take the right turn (faster) that I'd take but takes the new one.

Yes, the signal to exit the roundabout isn't necessary and confusing. It puts a right signal on, always, to exit from 2nd/outside lane roundabout.

It's the wiper that bothers me! When on FSD, I often manually turn wiper off then deal with it myself. even auto wiper seems to wipe a dry windshield unnecessarily.

I completely agree. It’s incredibly early. My corner house requires the signal to go straight after the stop sign and then turn left for the driveway. However, it always starts the signal before stopping at the stop sign. This doesn’t just annoy me, it also confuses other vehicles at the stop sign.

I have the same experience, it wasn't nearly as bad under v13. With v14.2.1, the turn signals pop on far too early.

It drives me crazy that it uses them in roundabouts, as literally NO ONE in my area ever uses turn signals to exit roundabouts. I have three of them near my house, they're all single-lane, simple replacements for 4-way stops, and FSD is the only time you'll see a turn signal from anyone. It was annoying but not a big deal under v13 because at least it was accurate to the exit, but now it turns on before the prior exit of the roundabout, confusing other drivers.

I looked it up, apparently everyone is supposed to use turn signals in roundabouts in Georgia, but it's unconventional in practice. Literally no one does it, and unexpected behavior is what leads to accidents.

The wiper is the worst problem and should be the easiest to fix... I think the wiper should be off and stay off until I turn it on especially in FSD. I am constantly having to turn it off every time I get back into FSD from trying to miss a pot hole of some other thing that FSD does not recognize.
