Hi Folks,

I have noticed when I have my FSD in "Standard" mode, when on highway, it tries to avoid tire marks to a point where it looks like I'm either distracted driving or drunk driving. I would almost bet a cop seeing this would pull me over. I have also noticed other road users distance themselves from my vehicle as a result. It's terrifying because it crosses lane markings (if there are no vehicles in neighboring lanes) and without warning. However, (I'm pretty sure) it doesn't happen when in Hurry mode, thank God, as that type of harsh maneuver could potentially cause an accident. Wanted to know if others are experiencing this or not?

Yes. You're not alone. It's awful behavior. I too feel like it would get me pulled over.

Yes, I too experience this. It is pretty scary.

I'm curious to see if others have noticed the difference between Standard and Hurry mode. As mentioned, in Hurry mode this doesn't happen - I find this only happens in Standard and perhaps slower speed profiles?

Keep in standard, don’t want a speeding ticket.

Hurry has a Speedy Gonzales Foot.

What FSD version?

I just drove 10,000 miles on a ski trip, in February and March, on v14.2.2.4 and v14.2.2.5 and while it did some pothole and tar strip avoidance, it wasn't so bad as to bother me. And, I didn't notice any difference between driving modes.

Dodged this pothole patch at 75mph! Of course, the car in front dodged it too..

It dodged this large patch, but immediately corrected itself.

It dodged this debris, but so did the SUV in front:

Here it avoids a tar strip:

And here it dodges a food container, I think:
