I'm on software 2.9.9 and FSD 14.3.2. 14.3.2 is hitting curbs for me.

Anyone else? I know someone said it's hugging the right side when making turns. That's what mine is doing. Didn't do that on previous FSD versions.
Did you try a camera recalibration yet? It shouldn't be doing that.

I’ve NEVER done a camera recalibration. Is it something that should be done every so often or? 🤷🏻‍♂️
No, I don’t believe so. A number of guys have done it because they thought it would help with their FSD issues.

I have never had any curbing by my truck or any of our cars. Also, my front camera housing is visibly hazy on my truck, it has never been cleaned and it’s bad enough that when the sun hits it at just the right angle I will get the pop-up that says that it needs to be cleaned. With all of that, I don’t get wiping every time I engage FSD, nor do I have any of the annoyances that people seem to get with phantom wiping or FSD vision issues generally. 🤷🏾‍♂️

It’s a mystery to me as to how we all have such wildly different experiences.

For me, so far I was happy with my drive to/from work. It takes the same route every time, and I noticed it does linger at stop signs for less time. It's like a .5-1 second faster but it really makes it feel faster.

Only quirk was after work I stopped at a drive through at mcdonalds, then after getting my food and starting FSD, the car just did nothing for like 15 seconds until I pressed on the pedal. I've never seen that happen before.

To me, FSD is always just improving. There are going to be little quirks and I accept that as it’s a work in progress! 🙋🏻‍♂️

The variety of experiences is crazy. I just drove through a serious downpour and it did great. Assertive and confident instead of slow in similar weather. Nothing crazy, just more on-par with how I'd drive in similar conditions.

Still fails to understand stop signs with an "except right turn" under them, but I'll take the improvement on streets with parked cars along the curb. The stop sign behavior is definitely different too, as others have mentioned. Sometimes feels like it dives it, gets down to 0, then takes off if it's all clear.

Still isn't good at picking parking spots. But that is expected. Probably won't be good until they give Grok access to the cameras. Today it parked in a spot with a parking only sign for another store.

Are you over 60? I think it can be surprising the first couple of times but eventually you will get used to the four categories and be able to push the appropriate one without even thinking about it or having to actually read them. That's likely why they are so big on screen and laid out so simply.
yeah seems fine to me so far. I like being able to just hit the answer. I will see if it annoys me over time.

Got mine installed last night as well. Took it for a spin and have noticed that the parking is a lot more snippy. Other things seem to be about the same so far.
You didn’t notice the less hesitation at stop signs or yield signs? More aggressive take offs? Even on hurry! He's definitely more assertive! Love it so far!

Only if FSD seems off, like clipping curbs. I've never needed to re-calibrate my cameras but clipping curbs is an indication the vehicle is not quite where it thinks it is and a re-calibration could fix that.

Ty's Take

Pros:
- Much better at maintaining speed before creeping faster
- Will now lower speed after faster traffic has gone past to maintain original speed better
- Faster Acceleration
- Does not hug the shared line with traffic

Cons:
- I've had more phantom wipes in two commute legs with this update than in a month with the previous version. Well, maybe not a whole month but man, it wipes a lot... More than an IBS sufferer after cheap taco night
- It carefully turned around in my driveway (good) and then centered in front of the garage bay next to my daughter's car (she parks in front of the bay with my motorcycle). However, Fluffy is supposed to park under her carport right next to the garage where she backs in and charge.

Verdict:
- An upgraded experience over previous versions. The phantom wipe is worse but overall, everything else is better than an already great system. I had one intervention where two lanes merge equally from both sides. There was a vehicle to my left that was obviously in front of me and in zipper societal norm fashion, they would be pulling in front of me. Fluffy was acting fine up until that last moment when she decided to pass the car. I intervened and let the car go ahead.

Ty's Rating:
97% Do recommend.

Yeah, the new version is definitely a strong improvement, but there will always be a cadre of people who claim it's a step back.

This happens with every-single-version. Which makes a rational person wonder how it's gotten so good when this cadre continually tells us it's always a step back. If that were true it should be more akin to a demolition derby by now! 🤷‍♂️

Was on a short 3 mile run to the post office on a one lane road this AM. Both ways, the CT braked and swerved over into oncoming lane to avoid a squirrel! Luckily there’s no traffic 😴

I did just try to park in a. New lot, brand new painted great lines, no cars, and it got confused as hell. Stuttered, hit curb in front, couldn't back up into spot, had to take over. Never had it do this bad before. Anyone else have similar?
