Ordered my Beast on 29 May. Grey Decor and AT tires. But, that doesn't matter.
Doing the finance task, my plan is to trade in my Maverick, pay a big chunk, and maybe get a loan for the last bit.
I went in and selected $60,000 down payment. Fine.
Then, I selected trade-in. $28,000 for my Maverick. That's not bad at all.
But, when Tesla calculated for their loan part, they subtracted my trade-in from my down payment. My intent is to pay a down payment in addition to the trade-in but that wasn't a choice.
My intent was to "pay" $90,000 down and finance the roughly $40,000 for the rest. NOT to finance $70,000.
Anyway, is there an easier way to make the change than calling Tesla's customer service line?
Please advise.
