Glass / Plastic trim below wiper crack

First time using the wiper at max speed due rain and next thing I notice is a hairline crack on the plastic / windshield part below the glass.

Reached out to customer service but they are not providing any resolution or even looking at the issue, basically just charging over 2k for windshield replacement.

Is this a recorded issue? I looked at the forum but did not find anyone else with this problem.

That’s not the windshield, OP. That’s a trim piece that’s easily replaceable.

Lol that the part to replace, with further inspection and as jf64k mentioned it appears to be a plastic trim, however I expect Tesla to replace it free of cost

Same issue happened to my CT. Service center replaced it for free last week.

This is an under warranty repair if you still qualify. You probably do! Good find @jf64k
