I am going away for a month. I live in a condo where having sentry mode would be good since it’s a semi public area. To avoid battery drain, can I keep it plugged in for a whole month?

Yes keep it plugged in and set the charge cap to something low like 60% or 70%.

No real risk, other than it begs the question of why? If your CT is plugged in for the duration of your absence, it will be perfectly fine, Sentry Mode and all.

Battery degradation accelerates with higher states of charge. 80% isn't awful. But lower is better.

If it were me, I'd set it to something like 50-55% and call it good.

I’m away from home right now, and left it plugged with a 50% charge level to limit degradation. If needed, I can increase the charge level from the app on the day of my return.
