This is the latest version of Hansshow's Rearview Mirror Camera system for Cybertruck and let me tell you, it's refreshing to finally be able to glance at the space for the rearview mirror and actually see what's behind me. Sure, I got used to it in the main screen, but what about friends, family and others who may drive the truck occasionally? I also didn't like the fact that I lose any view to the rear when making a turn.
I'm no mechanic and I don't do car audio installs. I know how to use basic hand tools and that's about it. So if you're interested in an amateur installation and walkthrough this is the place. Skip around as you feel comfortable, I will say the installation is very straightforward and I made sure to share a few tips and tricks we learned along the way. Difficulty level is probably 3 out of 10, and that's only because it takes a little time to properly tuck all the wiring.
Overall, it's well designed, well built and functions like an OEM rearview mirror camera should. One thing I will be getting (or creating) is a weatherproof housing. Hansshow has one for sale, but it didn't come included in the kit I received but think it's probably worth the extra few bucks.
