I am taking delivery next week. Trying to find the best insurance carrier to go with and also understand what to look for upon delivery.

Thanks!

I've had a good relationship with USAA.

I added the CT to my progressive policy that has my Model 3. It only added just over $400 more a year (for now). I also selected the highest deductible, and will not use it as a daily driver.
I was also looking into Hagerty. It appears that they might insure the CT.
Good luck

What was your quote with USAA? I have all my cars and house with them.
I have USAA kind of hard to give exactly what increase was because I lowered some coverage on an old vehicle at the same time. But looks to be about low $400 every 6 months. Also mine is a company vehicle so maybe slightly higher than consumer.

Definitely not GEICO. Got a reasonable rate quote was issued a policy which was required to pick up the truck but then they called me 2 days after Ingot the truck to let me know they don’t actually insure Cybertruck with personal coverage and made me get a business policy after the 6 month issued policy expires. Probably gonna move all of my cars to a different company at that point

Rates are all over the place depending where you live. Here in California, lots of companies are not writing policies for new customers. Fortunately my private policy through Costco, that covers my non commercial vehicles will cover my new Lightning at a reasonable rate. My commercial carrier, State Farm , was crazy expensive at $500 a month.
Keep in mind where you live is more of a factor that what you drive. I spent an entire day on the phone and computer with insurance companies trying to get a good rate for my lighting which is my 4th vehicle for 2 drivers.
Turns out my wife’s 2023 Honda Crv hybrid is more expensive to insure than my more more expensive Lightning.
Shop around and juggle with your comp and collision deductibles. Especially if you can go online to plug in your numbers.
Also having a vin number makes it much easier than just a vehicle make and cost.

Progressive....it was $106 per year less than my Sierra that it replaced. I didn't see that coming.

wow, my usaa quote for adding it to my existing policy would've been 1400 every 6 months with high deductibles etc, so I ended up going with Progressive.

$200/mo extra with liberty mutual vs $140 avg monthly for my other vehicles as a ref point. I guess not insane as this car is between 2-10x the price of anything else I have. Still going to be shopping around, was planning on it anyways

I currently have GEICO auto (been with them over 39 years) for my current car and pay $484/six months. I got a quote for my CT from GEICO at $1180 /six months.
Got a quote from Progressive and it will be $417 / six months.

Anyone currently have Progressive and how good are they?
