The accident is in the mismatch of what he was trying to do and what came out. The question people should ask is why the richest and most accomplished person in the world would be toying with some highly polarizing ideology and related symbolism that is pretty much is meaningless today besides being a tool to insult people. We have many forms of ideologies and symbolism available today that are more modern, have actual practical traction behind them, and so on. On top of that, this caliber of a person can invent his own ideology and symbolism and a lot of people will buy it.

And more to the point remember the challenge that was issued was that I defy you to give me an explanation as to how somebody accidentally gave what in any overly generous explanation still very clearly looks like a Nazi salute - twice in a row.

Go ahead and offer a better explanation than ChatGPT has. You certainly don’t have as much information at your fingertips as it does but other than telling me what your belief system is I’m pretty sure you aren’t going to do better.

I don’t have a belief system informing me, nor does the AI. I just take things as they are and don’t try to make excuses and pretend things are “this” when they are in fact “that.”
