We're now getting excited and dealing with delivery drama becuse the truck is due the same day we leave for the pre-planned road trip.

Update: talking to Tesla customer service I learned a couple of things:
1. talking to 3 different people, one of them actually gave me a delivery target date. (as apposed to the usual "in about a week" answer)
2. They can track the location of the delivery rig and as of today it was still in Austin but due at my local delivery center on 2/15. (happy late valentines day)
3) accuracy of the date: +/- one day with 1-2 day prep at delivery center
4) if you don't accept the truck you can't transfer your deposit to another Tesla. (was just wondering in case we had the option to change our minds at the last minute)

They said we can call back in a couple of days and they can tell us the location/progress of the delivery rig.

We will be packed up before going to pick it up, charge it on the way home, load up, take off to Mesa AZ with a stop in LA.

Yep now we're getting excited about it.

I wish I were more excited about it but I lost my youngest brother a couple of weeks ago and he would have been part of all this. I wouldnt have purchased the FS if it weren't for this latest event. I'm now in a heightened state of YOLO. Hoping it gets here in a week or so before a scheduled road trip from San Jose to Phoenix. I'm planning on frequent and long charging cycles to get there.
