Does anyone have a windshield that is really hazy when the direct morning/afternoon sunlight shines on it? I’ve dealt with this from the beginning and no matter how well I clean my windshield—inside and out—it remains hazy and I get the alert telling me to clean the windshield. I’ve taken it to the service center twice and they tell me it’s within spec. That tells me most people deal with this issue. Is that true??

Are you cleaning under the shroud in front of the cameras?

I’ve cleaned under there but it’s the entire windshield. In certain situations, visibility is cut by half at a minimum.

I just started getting this. I haven't yet cleaned under said shroud. I need to look into this bc I got my car washed and cleaned interior windshield, but still happening.

This was what solved the problem for me. I was never getting the off gassing cleaned properly until using the Adams Brilliant Glaze first. Now it's perfect!

It's the entire windshield??!? Dude that's weird. Glass will interact with direct light no matter how clean it is, but it should not become opaque. ?

The greasy offgassing is very difficult to remove. The glass needs to sparkle.

Works great. You’ll just need some sort of long arm device to be able to apply it and remove it. That windshield is huge.

I know it sounds crazy and I’d be happy to be wrong. I’ll clean my windshield and get a shot in the direct sunlight this afternoon. I normally clean with Sprayway glass cleaner first and then go over it again with a clean microfiber cloth and isopropyl alcohol to get any smudges left. Regardless, it sounds like either I’m the only one who doesn’t know how to clean a window or no one else has this issue. ??‍♂

NO, I had huge issues getting the off gassing off until I found Out of Spec's post - unless you get it removed, the cleaning is basically worthless . . .

I suppose there's a non-zero chance that the glass sandwich has a cloudy polymer or adhesive layer, but I'd think that would look cloudy persistently.

That’s the strange thing—when the sun isn’t shining directly into it, the windshield looks crystal clear. Once the sun hits at a particular angle, hazy hazy hazy. I’m hoping the product pkauf01 mentioned will work.

ChrisFix has some thoughts as well.

I definitely wasn’t cleaning correctly, the Out of Spec video was really helpful. The ChrisFix video was somewhat contradictory to the Out of Spec video but all roads lead to Mecca. Thanks @CyberGus @pkauf01 for the helpful responses!
