FSD 14 is awesome. Biggest issue is it violates HOV lanes in Southern California. HOV setting is off and even avoid toll roads, yet it still crossed into HOV lanes (both solid and dashed lines). Seemed to violate in all speed profiles. On the way to work it almost was undrivable as I had to keep disengaging. It seemed to get better, but they need to fix so the Tesla AI doesn’t have to hear my annoying messages when I report each disengagement.

same here, I ended up with paid ~$140 to create an account and get a couple tags for future Toll road use.
they waved my penalty.
There is a flexible sensor you can buy for about $15, if you have more than three person in the car, it's free.

Misunderstood. Didn’t get an actual violation it just kept moving into HOV lanes. No placards, stickers or transponders allowed. I can’t be in it.

Sorry I thought was toll road. HOV could be tricky. I agree with you the HOV setting is not reliable.

The HOV setting is definitely not reliable.

On top of that FSD keeps wanting to enter and exit by crossing the solid double yellow lines. Had to take over on multiple occasions to prevent entering or exiting HOV lanes.

IN FSD 14, with HOV setting turned on, my CT won't enter into the HOV lane on its own. I have to use the turn signal. It's sort of the opposite of the original poster. In FSD 13, it would quickly try to get the HOV lane but would ignore double white and yellow lines to do it. Now I have to make it go into the HOV lane. I assume it will all get fixed later, so I don't complain but I'm still trying to get that hour long SoCal drive with zero interventions so I can say I did.

Happened to me too, though I didn’t get caught lol. Haven’t looked at HOV options is selected. CT had no problem jumping in the HOV on mad max mode, I simply thought” oh hello… let’s see where this goes…”

It’s an oddity because V13 would never use the HOV even if the option is enabled, and would always get out when it had the chance.

I had the opposite experience. I have HOV turned on and prompted it several times with the turn signal to cross the double yellow line but it refused, so I forced it. However, it moved in and out of the HOV lane on it's own at the designated locations a few times. Which concerned me once that it wouldn't have time to get all the way over, through heavy traffic to the interchange, but it did it perfectly.

Absolutely not true for me in Arizona. Constantly tries to get in HOV. Moves over and stays there too. Only way to get it to move back is either switch to chill once in the lane or indicate right once you’re in the lane.
Then entries it again though. Super annoying.
Not an issue with people in the car but that’s not always the case.

I guess FSD is still too humanlike. 🤷‍♂️
