Yes. They said order before the price goes up. And then they said it again when it went from $8,000 up, etc. They are locked into it.

I just wish these prices were what Tesla will end up charging. Last I heard FSD was somewhere around $15K so maybe I have to look at the new, combined price to soften the blow.

Originally I didn't add it, but changed my mind. When I log into my account to add it the only option available was to cancel my reservation, options available when completing configuration. I reserved a dual motor at the time. Just wanted to pass it along

I suspect that you do not want to do that right now. Even if you can change your reservation (I do not know if that is possible right now) it would likely change your position in the queue (which I happen to believe still exists and is relevant). Do as suggested and wait until the configurator is up and you get your notice.

You can purchase FSD anytime after you've initiated the sale, even afterward. But the $7k price was for early adopters and is no longer available.

Once FSD is fully solved, Tesla wouldn't even allow you to buy the FSD upfront. It will 100% be on a monthly basis.

At the last earning call, Elon hinted that $15K is actually quite cheap for the FSD package as the value that it will provide is far higher than its current price tag.

Because I intend on keeping my Cybertruck for decades, I'm glad to have opted for the FSD and will be super happy when the original price is honoured for FSD ($10,600 CAD for us Canucks).

That's because even when "it's solved" it will still have to support a large amount of constant processing and reprocessing new and novel situations, map data, and real-time data.
