What are the best use cases for ASS? I would love to hear your experiences. I'm a little nervous to use it without knowing more. Are any of these scenarios a no-no?
- during rain
- very large lot where you can't see the vehicle
- busy lot like a concert / festival exit scenario
- parking garage meet me at the gate
- from a parallel parked spot
- where there is a street to cross or drive

I can't even get mine to work yet. I have only tried it on my acreage, and I live in Manitoba, Canada.
It shows up on my phone and I can open it, but nothing works. I'll try it in the city.
I'm interested in what people on here have to say.

I used it twice today. At Walmart because I didn’t feel like walking out to it, and why not use it now that we have it. Then again at Costco, had a flat cart full of water so I let the truck come to me at the front and load it all up. Again why not use it since we can now… also if it’s raining I definitely will be using it. Only thing that’s irritating is waiting for summon to boot up, I don’t use summon stand by, don’t want to waste battery unnecessarily.

I’ve always said the Costco parking lot is the ultimate boss level test for summon lol.

I’ve done it once with my wife’s model 3 about 1.5 years ago and was super impressed how well it worked. Haven’t done it yet with the Cybertruck but will 🙂

Tested it twice at the local supermarket. It does take close to a minute or so to become active. No problems when it does, it navigate people easily and safely. I did learn to place myself with adequate space for it to pull up out of the traffic, so other cars can pass it while I get in..

I tried it twice. First time I forgot to turn it on after it was updated. Second time was at my works parking lot. I had to walk half way to my truck to get in the circle before I could turn it on. As it was coming to me the truck got stuck at a stop sign and just sat there. Don’t know if it was trying to turn or what. But after about 15 seconds I gave up and walked to it.

keep standby mode on and it's instant.

I've used it a few times when I'm with the kids when we're at a grocery store or going out for a food and works flawlessly. It's fast, makes great decisions.

I got my A.S.S. on the last update. I really like the ability to summon my CT in the rain however......

Today while just practicing I summoned Big Red to pick my wife and I up at the entrance to my mom's assisted living. It was in a parking lot with a "one way" path of travel. The I summoned it Big Red went the wrong way in the parking lot. I stopped it because I was afraid it was going to go into the trees which would have been twice the distance from where we were originally from the CT. I have a bum knee so I hobbled over and turned Big Red around and proceeded home. Kinda puzzled because it worked fine before in the same lot.

I recommend that people try it out ahead of time. I've found the radius is fairly small as I like to park far out in a parking lot so it's outside the ASS circle of usability.

Just a consideration that if you think you are going to use it to pull up to a store or whenever, you'll need to park closer so it'll work.

Definitely will use it in the rain if it's heavy but need to plan ahead a bit and park close to where you'll summon it.
