Anyone tried to install some 12v accessories? If so how do you do it, guessing there has to be 12v options available within the 48v architecture? Like I know there is the light bar pig tail, but is that pulling 48v or 12v? Do I need to hook up some sort of voltage transformer?

There are two power feeds:

  • One power feed is located on the roof (400W maximum draw).
  • One power feed is located in the powered frunk (400W maximum draw).
both are 48V and need a step down converter.

Thanks that was the piece of info I was looking for the step down converter. Easy enough.

There are actually many more power feeds, you've got to stop thinking legacy style.

There are nuerous USB-C ports in the vehicle that can provide several options of voltage between 5 and 18V. Any specific voltage can be provided by one of the many adapters available on Amazon.

For certain installations you need a regulator.
48V Step Down to DC 12V
This is the right answer. Low cost solutions exist for everything less hungry than winches and large car audio amps. If you find a low cost solution that is 100A+ capable, both the car audio and off road communities want to hear from you!

Take out front trunk. There is 48v outlet. Get a 48v to 12v step down transformer off ebay. Then u are able to install 12v stuff.
No room on roof to put converter

Search Amazon for
120v to 12v converter 15 amp

That will provide pretty good 12VDC power using one 120V outlet. If you have multiple relatively low power gadgets, a 12V power strip (one plug, multiple sockets) could probably run them all off of that; just add up the amps to check.

I also see one that's 30 amp out, and one (with wire connectors, no socket) that's 50 amp.

The power will of course not be on all the time, only when the AC outlet is on; you can set it to be on all the time, but that will run down your battery faster.

I don't think that there is a plug, it's a set of bare wires hanging behind the front plastics.
