I ran into a problem: I was on a 2.5 hr ferry ride in the sun, with mid 80s F outside temp. I had limited charge and didn’t want to waste it keeping cool and having the screen running. It would have been perfectly comfortable sitting in the truck with windows down, or leaving it that way. But, I haven’t found any way I can do that. Leaving it in vent mode isn’t sufficient. The manual says to use the settings app, but after a lot of searching I haven’t been able to find a settings app.
In most vehicles you can just park, turn off the ignition, and sit there with windows down, doors open, or whatever without running the battery down. It seems that there must be a way to do that in a CT. Anybody know?

Sit in the passenger front seat and the truck will go to sleep including the screen.

They won't go the full way down, but there is also a vent windows button on the app.

Interesting! Thx! I’ll try it.
Now, if I sit in the passenger seat with windows down, and get out, will it stay that way after I get out and walk away? At the beach, it was 84 deg sunny, no shade. I rolled the windows down and left. When I looked back, it had rolled the windows back up and turned on A/C. ?. I’ll try from passenger side. I’m having to depend on 120v charging here so in the heat I can actually lose charge when charging in the sun. AND, I just want to leave the windows down sometimes. BTW, I called Tesla service yesterday and the bot said they would call me back. So far, nada. Thanks again. I’m gonna try your suggestion.

On the vehicle’s screen, go to “locks” on the setting screen, switch off “close windows on lock”. Alternatively, you can open the windows how you want them, open drivers door, tap the “lock” icon on top of screen menu, get out and walk away. Vehicle will lock but windows remain how you left them. When doing this, it is important the driver door is open when you tap the lock icon
