I have a machine that I need to transport, it's around the size of a two-door fridge and weighs around 500-800lbs. I'm going to try to do this solo if possible. I have never moved something like this before and I don't know what tools/settings/precautions I need to properly load this. If any of y'all have any experience with this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Solo? Rent a tip bed or ramped utility trailer, or box truck with lift gate. Then maybe you can move it with a pallet jack or dolly.

I have a ramped trailer, but at that point couldn't I just get a tailgate ramp and load from there? Or do you think it'll snap the tailgate?

Agreed. Also, get some ratchet straps so you can secure the machine to the hand truck . Tilt back and roll onto the utility trailer. You can tow the trailer with the cybertruck

Top edge of tailgate is not the strongest thing ever. Slope makes it hard also.
Then, once in, you have the vault aero flap to deal with.
If you already have an appropriate trailer, I'd go with that.

Tailgate ramp would be very steep. Probably not doable solo
I'll be next to a curb, and I can go into service mode and completely deflate the suspension (or is that a bad idea?). I'll look into which one would be easier, but I prefer loading into the bed because my trailer doesn't have any good tie down points (and idek if it'll be able to hold it lmfao).
This is what it looks like, will grab an actual photo once I'm home.

When you say solo, do you mean driving it, or actually loading into the truck/trailer? I wouldn't recommend loading solo, unless you are using a forklift or something.

Rent a motorcycle trailer from U-Haul. It has a gently sloping ramp gate. Also use 800lbs ratchet straps. Number one rule is that one strap needs to be able to bear the entire load of your haul

I was towing motorcycles solo with a Dodge Challenger this way. I know pick up trucks have a bed but you want to use the right tool for the job. In Texas we’re hauling anything and everything by any means necessary

I’ll be loading solo, but if it really makes it that much easier to load it with someone else then I’ll definitely get someone.

Sorry, just saw this. Excellent trailer. I’ve used ratchet straps on these all the time. Does it not have D-rings or loops? Otherwise loop the ratchet straps around the bars?

It does, my hooks are just really large and any time I tie something it feels like it’s going to pop off.

Thanks for confirming. Ok, you have to loop the hook end around the bar and then hook the ratchet strap to itself. There should be YouTube videos showing what I mean

Refrigerators are about 250 pounds and want two people to handle one.

800 pounds up a ramp?
Do you at least have someone to film it for YouTube failures?

I suspect that you'll end up using a lift or loading bay to get it on. And of course, off.

I have the same trailer. Along the bottom, outside of the bed, should be angle irons welded vertically. Put the strap hooks in them, facing up.
