I just took delivery of my new 2025 Cybertruck AWD about a month or so ago and I want to love it, but every time I drive it I get frustrated with stuff that doesn't seem to be right. First off, I immediately noticed a weird noise when driving over 30mph or so that seems to get worse when slowing down. It's hard to describe, but sounded at first like wind noise or the vent blowing unevenly. Now that I've listened to it more and more closely, it sounds more like a vibration or rattle. I've turned the air and radio off to eliminate those and it's still there. Then, the first time I went to use the sun visor, the cover over the part that is attached to the windshield came off with it. Then, I started hearing and feeling a "clunk" in the driver's seat when I made turns.

So, I took it in to the Clermont service center. I drove it with a tech who huffed at the cover falling off and said that never should have made it through QC. He wasn't driving so didn't experience the seat clunk. He did hear the other noise and said it sounded like something was loose on the outside or underside of the vehicle. So, they gave me a loaner Cyberbeast (damn them for that!! :ROFLMAO: ) and I left it there. The cover was repaired. They said since they couldn't reproduce the clunk in the seat they wouldn't do anything about it. And I got a canned response about the other noise that "all drive units make different noises...." blah, blah, blah, so nothing was done. The fact that the loaner did not make that noise and the tech acknowledged it was abnormal but they didn't do anything really makes me angry.

I found a thread here about the driver's seat noise that was exactly what mine was doing with two members who posted the notes from their techs about how they fixed it and they were the same fix - isolate the contactor points. So, I sent that to the service department who still said unless they could reproduce it, they wouldn't even look at it to see if it was the same issue. I argued on that one and spoke with the service manager who finally said, "what do you want me to do, look at it?" And I was like, "yes, that's EXACTLY what I want you to do." So I left it there. I got this message back, "Took the seat out and nothing sir, "Technician removed cushion and inspected seat plastic brackets and did not find excessive play on. Removed brackets and isolated contactor points as a courtesy to try and resolve intermittent issue. Re-assembled seat and tested." Well, guess what? Since his "courtesy" repair, no more seat clunk. Why was that so hard to get done?! I guess the non-excessive play was enough to cause a problem.

Now, when I turn the steering wheel, there is a squealing/whining noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. I heard it before but I assumed it was the tires on the pavement, but today I was parking on grass and heard it so checked it out more. Definitley coming from the rear somewhere.

So, now I get to take it back and probably argue more about the rattle noise and the rear squeal noise. I can't wait to hear that those noises are in the acceptable noise category. For a truck this expensive, I expect better service.

All vehicles have issues, I get it. My last was a 2023 Ford F150 Tremor, fully friggin loaded and it came from the factory with the wrong color door handle somehow and it took me 5 visits to get it fixed. The driver door was also hung out of alignment and had an awful wind noise and they had to re-hang the door and replace the weather stripping. BUT they didn't argue about any of it and it didn't take weeks to get in and they were all fixed. Now, instead of enjoying driving it, I get annoyed with all the noises that I know aren't right and keep expecting the next thing to go wrong. Very frustrating.

Anyone else had this many issues on a 2025 CT? It's got less than 600 miles for goodness sake! I want to wrap and tint it, but with all the issues I don't know if I want to drop that much money on it at this point.

*End vent*

Just picked my CT up on 9/14 and went into service on 9/18 for scratches that were found on delivery day, misaligned frunk lid that causes a bad leak, extremely leaky tonneau cover, pits in the dash, and the same noise you heard as well from the front motor when doing 25 to 40 mph. They still have the truck as I’m typing. The major thing that bothers me is the truck as been sitting at a non tesla shop in a pretty shady neighborhood about 18 miles away from the service center I dropped it off at.

I'm sorry to hear about your bad luck. I believe that I got lucky as mine was delivered to me in spring of 2024 and I've never been back to SC yet. Some observations since delivery:

Things that fixed themselves:
1) I did have a noise from what I believe was the door hinge whenever I got on the accelerator hard but that noise has since gone away. This was during the coldest months last winter and I'm curious to see if it returns this winter.
2) There was a noise that would come and go when regen would kick in but has disappeared after a few months of driving.
3) I also had what felt like a tire imbalance but again, smoothed out and went away over time.
4) I had a serious vampire drain last year for months and I think it got fixed in an update + warmer weather.
5) The whole windshield washer issue that was made somewhat better with an update.

Things that I had to fix:
1)
Constant windshield fog. Clean the inside of your windshield IMMEDIATELY upon delivery (even if it looks clean at the time).
2) Had to try several different bluetooth controllers until I found one (PS5 controller) that would work properly without crashing the games. This took months.

Things that are still ongoing:
1)
About 50% of the time (roughly) that I walk up to my locked CyberBeast in a parking lot with my phone in my pocket (and bluetooth ON), the truck will NOT unlock and will take a video of me getting pissed off. It's embarrassing as hell when other notice that I can't even get into my truck reliably so now I have to fumble with my phone while carrying my groceries and open the Tesla app to guarantee that the friggin' door opens for me to avoid said embarrassment. In all fairness I believe the issue may be partially due to my phone being older (Galaxy S10).
2) Tonneau leaks water at the top. Not horrible and not a huge deal to me but may try and fix myself as it could be better.
3) Dust permeates the bed from the gap between the tailgate and the bed. Again, not a huge deal and may try to fix myself.
4) Front tires will 'skip' upon ANY acceleration from a stop over bumps (especially around corners) causing a loud CLUNK noise which concerns my passengers and I have to explain to them that it's normal of the CyberBeast. I wish that there was an option to give just a little power to the rear wheels upon acceleration from a stop up until around 15mph or so would eliminate this.

Overall I consider myself lucky as the vehicle is a MASSIVE departure from the norm and an all new design with new tech. I expect having such an early delivery to have some unknown issues that didn't get identified in the beginning.

Only issue for me was the leaky bed cover that just got fixed at the SC and is now watertight. Sorry that you’re going through these issues.

I am from the Orlando area also. There are a lot of CT sitting in the Tesla lot here in Orlando exposed to the environment. I wonder if that there is something to do with it. Florida has Lemmon law so if you are not totally satisfied, activate it and get another vehicle.

Thanks for the reply. I'm new to Florida. How does the Lemon law work?

If you take possession of your vehicle and it has problems that it is not fixed your satisfaction, you can request a replacement. I think you need to take it for service at least a few times (3, I think, but I am not sure exactly).

Thanks! Hopefully it doesn’t come to that, but it’s good to be aware of.

100% if you mention Lemon Law, they usually get a little more willing to fix the issue.

The high pitch chirp noise between 30 and 45 is normal. It's the inverter.

Ya, that's not what this is. It's not high pitched at all. I hear that and I get that. This is more of a low-pitched rattle noise.

I have had my CT for 3mo now and I guess i am lucky as I have not had any weird noises or rattles but have had some other annoying problems. Occasionally i will get a message "Power reduced, exiting a re-entering the vehicle may restore operation" and the truck is only operating on 1 engine and is very slow. Goes away once i exit and re-enter. Service center said they couldn't duplicate the problem so nothing they can do. Now I am getting a message "HIgh voltage system error detected, vehicle may not restart service required". I have had the gas problem in the front camera a few times and a small amount of water gets into the truck bed if I go thru a car wash.

I love the truck and had read enough before i purchased to understand that it was likely I would have some problems and was willing to just accept that fact. Going back to SC this week so fingers crossed. I guess the CT is like the old Range Rovers where the saying was u had to buy 2 so you would have one to drive while the other is in the shop.

Haha. I am not lucky enough to be able to have two CT’s or Range Rovers. Maybe the CT isn’t the average person’s vehicle.

Just FYI, sounds like nothing out the ordinary. When you buy Tesla, you’re buying tech and performance, not necessarily “luxury.” They aren’t hand crafted pieces of perfection, they’re thrown together in like a minute and are the best vehicles ever to grace planet earth, but they may have bleeps, sweeps, and creeps.
