I put my pre order in around 6hours after the live event so let’s say day one pre order. I already put my order in for the beast and I have an expected delivery of mid-end 2024. There are millions more people in the line behind me and even a couple of people I know who ordered the same day as we are still waiting in FS offers. If they are this far out for FS with just day 1 orders then it could be a few years before someone would see a starndard beast order. They could keep offering FS all the way to the last pre order made and bring in tons more cash but that could put standard model pre orders out a long way if they do this. It would be nice to know if the FS are truly gonna be a limited run or if there will be tens of thousands of them. Glad I ordered so early as I didn’t want it until summer 2024 anyway so anytime this year after summer would be perfect.

Yep. I got my invite to order. I can get an AWD in Spring or a Beast at the end of 2024 according to my order choices.

That means, to me, trimotors will only be FS through this year—regular trimotors won't be a thing until Summer 2025 earliest.

So, if you want a trimotor this is the only way until Winter 2025.

My rough estimate...
I reserved on day one and they just got to my number 112828xxx. So offering 20k or so people per month the opportunity to buy means the first 240000 holders will have a chance to buy an AWD this year.

My rough conclusion...
If you don't order a FS you'll be waiting for a year minimum for the regular versions. Tesla doesn't care about the attrition rate of buyers because they'll sell every CT that comes off the line in 2024. Just by putting the offer in your email honors the reservation list because technically you're getting first crack at a CT.

FS isn't a "collector" or low number special. It's a way for Tesla to honor the reservation list and sell the truck at a premium during ramp.

I'm of a little different thought.
And lots of this depends on how well production ramps up.

As of the current invites:
AWD - Jan-Mar
Beast - 2nd half 2024
RWD - 2025

I feel that they are expecting all the AWD FS orders to be completed by March and then start delivering the standard AWD vehicles.

Aside from the additional hardware, there is additional software needed for the Beast. While not delivering some things with the early AWD vehicles is okay, delivering the Beast without it's ability to go fast would be, well, deadly. So it will take a little bit to finish and the reason why 2nd half.

After that, I suspect that they will do things like run the AWD for 2 weeks and then switch to the Beast for a week and then back. So you'll see both non-FS vehicles shipping by about September.

Elon has already said that the major constraint is batteries.

I don't think that you will see 240,000 vehicles this year, that's a full production number and won't be until next year or later. I do think that you will see about 20,000 per month at the end of the year.

It's all a guess at this point. Tesla may have plans, but they aren't really known, and production issues can easily mess with the best plans.

Considering they have sold a LOT more than 1,000 FS trucks already, and considering they are continuing to send out emails. I think it is likely that they will go all the way through the list of reservation holders and you might be behind any of those 2.1 million people that order a FS AWD.

FS AWD > FS Beast > AWD/Beast > RWD

2025 I think they will deliver regular non Foundation ones. By then the hype will have worn off and everybody that wanted to be first will have their Cybertruck.

there is zero software issue delay with the Beast

which should go without saying, because they are delivering Beasts already, that aren’t “deadly”

there is a constraint on Beast-specific drivelines

I ordered mine a few weeks ago. I'm not expecting mine by the end of March either. Mainly because if I hope for it earlier, it will always be later.

By expecting the end of March, I'm hoping that Tesla may pleasantly surprise me one day.
