Hello fellow cyber folks… I’m kinda in a situation now where I’m going to need this car as a lease on a different Tesla ends in June. I was hoping to be in the CT by now but I’m awaiting my vin since I placing my FS order 1/14. I’m way passed the estimated Jan-March timeframe I was given.

Tesla is pushing all these great deals at me. We have a Tesla we own, but I will still need a second car because my wife is driving the Model Y we own. I’m also tempted to try out a rivian but will forfeit the 1k deposit if I don’t stick with a Tesla. Does anyone think they might have more trucks delivering outside of CA and TX by June. Or maybe since they missed their estimated delivery time I can get my 1k back maybe even just as supercharger funds?

VIN before June? I'd say 90% chance. This is assuming no production issues or shutdowns from now until June of course.

The 1k order fee for the CT usually can be moved toward a different Tesla vehicle, but i doubt they would move to supercharger credits. Can hurt to ask i suppose.

Vin by june, maybe. Delivery? less likely.

Ohio was 27 days vin to delivery for me, and that's almost the same trip as PA.

If it was me, I'd wait, even if it meant I had to rent a car, because even in the worst case it should be there by ~end of june. PA will also probably not be a worst case state either.

Callng Tesla isn't going to help. The only time they know anything is when your VIN is assigned.

But the probabilities are pretty good.
I had a similar situation with my Model 3, the lease expired after the car started production, but before my car was delivered. We worked it out though.

The leasing company may be able to extend the lease or you can get a long term rental which aren't too bad.
