A good start as a first video but very incomplete:

- There should be links in the video to all of the parts used (mirror, cameras, mount). Sorry, if I go to the YouTube page instead of just showing the video you have provided 3 links.
- As mentioned by others you should show how the mirror works.
- You say it is a 4-channel mirror but you only showed the mount for 1. The link you provided says nothing about it being a 4-channel mirror.
- You showed how the camera wire is routed but not how the mirror power is routed. You did show the power cable link you are using.
- You mounted the camera to the top of the rear window 'flange'. Why not mount at the window apex?

This approach is moving in the right direction...thanks for posting.

Video is up
This video shows how to get the power down to the accelerator pedal area but where does it go after that?

One of the reasons [some of us] prefer a dealer-installed accessory is that we don't want to play these cable routing games. You clearly have no issues pulling things apart but I do. That said, I would still be interested in the entire process.

This video seems to make it clear that this is a single-camera solution. Maybe I misunderstood you in the first video; I thought you said it was a 4-channel mirror but everything after that is a single-camera mirror.

I will make another Video this weekend. i am only doing this has a hobbie, I am a Full Time System Administrator, I will tell you the Entire process is time consuming well not if u watch the video, Took me a long time to figure out how to Run the Cables. I doubt Tesla ever offers us anything maybe some 3rd party will, but this cost arond $180 for Everything, and it very good quailty.

I appeciate your feedback, and you Watching.

I love CT videos where I don't have to drill or permanently change the truck. Great job in finding that wire path. I'm subscribed for more videos.
I like the location of your camera - it will work whether tailgate is up or down.

Below is a video of a guy hard-wiring a radar detector to the power in the console where the mirror hangs. Maybe you can power the rear-view mirror the same way?

That will not work the camera overloads it. I tried that first

This is exactly a situation that Tesla, if they got involved, could clear things up. Does the service manual tell us (I have never looked at it) what power is provided there, and does the external camera monitor provide its power requirements? I am assuming that the cameras get power from the mirror. Is that true or not?

nice work this is going to be a popular DIY upgrade would be great if it was sold as a kit with the 3D printed adapter to the OEM mirror bracket and instructions. Thank you for sharing....really cool
