I installed some running boards from tesstudio today after they were delivered this afternoon. It took about an hour working solo. I put the truck into the highest off road setting so that I could lay on my back and use my half inch socket wrench. Very simple install, only issue was the 20 degree F weather outside. I will post some more pictures during the daylight for better views.

I unfortunately found out the issues with them after I purchased the few things I did.

Luckily had a coupon code that saved me some money

FWIW, I have a set of running boards and love them. They play a pivotal role when transporting my elderly parents, who are in their 90s and think the CT is the greatest vehicle they have ever seen; they call my CT their "Truck Limo."

I ordered the spare tire package, which required a service visit to install. When the CT was there, they performed all the recalls on my truck since it has never needed service since new in Feb 2024 (1,2xx). One of those was to replace both perfectly working Drive Units.

Here is where it may impact you: even though my boards and mounts don’t block either lift pad, they charged me $150 to remove and reinstall the running boards for the service. My advice is, if you are able, remove them yourself before any driveline service work.

Thanks for the tip. Since it’s so easy to install I will do that for any service.

since it doesn’t block the lift points I’ll check with Costco or my mechanic to see if they have concerns for tire rotations

Still prefer these for traction, robustness, and cyber pattern…

I also have the Tesstudio/CTMods running boards.

I hope yours don’t start to rust like mine:
