Interesting Reactions in South Texas to my Cybertruck

South Padre Island, Port Isabel, Brownsville and Starbase… Also in McAllen, Weslaco, and routes that connect. Still haven’t had a truly negative reaction, although there are a few curmudgeons that say they don’t like the looks (while they’re busy snapping photos and selfies!). ?

I am amazed that the “real truck guys” really, really like the truck! ?

In fact, a common thing I hear is, “I never considered an electric vehicle, but I want this truck!”
I really believe Tesla will open a huge segment of buyers with Cybertruck that wouldn’t have otherwise ever owned an electric vehicle. ???

Wolfgram, Your positive reactions are great news. Especially the "I am amazed that the “real truck guys” really, really like the truck!" We used to journey to SPI once or twice a year for the windsurfing. If and when we get the cybertruck with at least autopilot the drive to SPI would be much easier.

as an introvert you are going to have a disaster of a time when you take delivery if its anytime this year

I occasionally meet people that don't know what a DeLorean is, which is baffling since BTTF plays on cable like every weekend. More than one observer believed the car was fictional, made just for the movie, and thought I was driving a movie prop. I also get "did you build this yourself?" periodically.

Best reaction ever was "how did you get all the paint off your Fiero" lmao
