Upon getting my cyber truck, I’ve noticed that inside the software the only option for a garage door opener is to purchase the myQ system. I find this interesting because our model S allows you to choose several garage door openers and continues to work. Anybody find a solution for this or are we all stuck buying MyQ?

Yes, MyQ is the only available garage door opener platform included with the CT but it requires a subscription. In previous threads, other members have discussed potentially paying to add Homelink that is similar to your MS since in inclusion of Homelink was discontinued in Teslas post 2019.

Or you can always keep a garage door remote in your CT.

Having a Cybertruck without built in support for home link still sucks and so does the capability or lack there of MyQ. Tesla again taking steps backwards by not including home link as an option.

So annoying. The MyQ implementation is ok, but not great, and cannot open MyQ-enabled gates, for which there's no good reason, other than MyQ just kind of sucks. I added Meross controlers to all the garage doors and gate. Homekit compatible, so now it's just a widget on my phone (not that Homekit is awesome, but that's another story...!)

There needs to be a way to install Homelink on the cybertruck via Tesla. I'm not upgrading my garage door openers just for myQ. I love the way my ModelX controls my setup

I realize this will not support the automatic opening and closing like the integrated version, but you can buy mirrors with Homelink. It be a slight improvement over having a remote.

Right now I have not been able to use MyQ for months on my Model Y and CT, even though I paid for 10 years. There is some issue that doesnt allow me to add it to my vehicles, I have a support case open with them.

I’m going to see what I can learn about getting it working with HomeKit.. the documentation claims it’s capable but might need a hub. I’ll report back

Just found this thread looking for the same thing. I have to make an account and pay yet another web service (MyQ) just to open my garage from the truck controls? Thats absurd. The 2015 Nissan Altima I 'd traded in for $1100 toward the Cybertruck had built in garage controls I could pair. Maybe someday the Cybertruck will catch up with that cutting edge technology

Guess I'll have to go buy a standalone remote to clip to the visor. Friggin silly.
