J1772 adapter melted a bit.

I used the J1772 adapter once a month ago for about 2 hours at a horse track where they had four charging stalls. Two with Gen 3 tesla home chargers and two spaces with whatever the other chargers are that take this adapter. The Tesla ones were full so I used one of the other ones with this adapter. These were not supercharger stations. I was just cleaning my truck up before I road trip from Minnesota to Colorado and noticed the adapters condition. Was this my fault for not having something attached properly, or do you think it was an issue with the other charger?

Most likely an issue with the charger. I doubt it was due to your misusage as the CT won't charge unless the adapter was attached correctly.
