Just got offered to configure a non-Foundation CT but I'm around 402,000 in the queue! WTF! Did many thousands of pre-orders before me cancel? Why am I being offered a delivery in October/November when I'm so far down the list?!!! And how long do I have to configure before losing my place in line? (I wasn't expecting to be able to get it so soon). Thanks!

I'm not sure how they are going through the list. My cousin who was a day 1 reservation holder never got a FS invitation but he just got the invitation for the regular CT on Friday. He has owned M3 since 2018.

I reserved 06/20, i got the invite for FS on 06/24. I didn't go for the FS, the 20K extra, had a lot of stuff i didn't care for (FSD, Powershare, White interior & AT Tires). I will order immediately I get the invite for regular CT. Especially since NJ resumed 3.3% (which will go up to 6.6% next yr) sales tax of EV on 10/1/24 and $1000k vehicle registration fee.

I think I'm around 700K in line. My cousin is 300k in line. If they continue burning through 100k reservations every few days, that means that i should be expecting the invite by the end of the week or next week.

It still remains an expensive truck, I'm only justifying getting it because it will be my first ever brand new vehicle and I'm turning 40 in two days

It's more likely your cousin got the invite, maybe he just didn't realize he got it or deleted it by accident.

There's no way to know for certain - except that Tesla has said 'over a million reservation holders' and 'n reservations' at several points.

And yes, the numbers aren't exactly sequential - as the reservation system at the time included everything from Energy, Solar, Model Y, Plaid, Semim etc; but thousands of reservation holders entered their full numbers into a database to make these guesstimates.

Only Tesla insiders know what criteria is used for non-FS Cybertruck invites.

Prior or current Tesla customer? Location? Shareholder?

I do feel a lot of CT invitation holders are holding a wait and see approach regarding the significant $7500 tax credit.
