L-Track compatible frunk mat??

Would you purchase a frunk mat that you could use the L-Track and cargo net with?

  • No, that's a stupid idea

Looks great, but my OCD would mean if have to have perfectly straight lines...lol.

Which frunk mat is this?
Oh I agree, I can see its not perfectly straight. You could use a ruler for the cuts if it bothers you that much.
I honestly don't remember the brand, it was a set I got off amazon, but they are mostly the same anyway.

I ended up cutting out rectangles in mine so I can use both. With a sharp blade it was fairly easy. Once you install the net it looks fine, if you really want to be precise you can use a ruler or something to get perfectly straight cuts, I kinda free handed it. I needed to trim my mat anyway because it didn't sit on the floor of the frunk without scraping the sides, so regardless I had to trim the edges and figured why not.
I did this over the weekend and also was able to achieve a nice fit, from some certain angles you can see the cut is not perfect. If I were to do it again I’d consider just cutting out the ends of the track directly where I am connecting to the track not the whole rectangle. I am hoping someone will release a l-track compatible mat with time.

So, maybe a little tangent here but I found a new use for my leftover pieces of t-mat. Turns out two squares and two bars fit perfectly into the plastic frunk shell which allows you to use all the t-mat cargo management system pieces and also retain l-track access.
Thought I’d share in case this is of interest to any of the rest of you.

Looks pretty good to me.. honestly I could have gotten the cuts perfectly straight if I took my time, it doesn't bother me enough since you dont see it with the net in anyway.
