L-Track Flag Pole while driving

Does anyone have experience driving with a flagpole that is mounted to the l track? My guess is that it's a bad idea but I'm not sure what the specs are.

Most flags aren't designed for more than occasional 15mph gusts, first off. So always be mindful of that.

The amount of weight and hence, torque, a flag will put on the track has to do with its size and your speed.

There have been a couple threads on this, but no one has shared their failures that I recall.

Yes, I'm not so much worried about the flag and flagpole. I used 3/4 galvanized steel pipe and 4x3 light material flag to reduce the drag. But the thing I have No specs for And most worried about breaking is the L-Track.
I wouldn't be driving more than 50 mph (45avg), but that's still a pretty good sustained speed.

It does look grand at low speed, though, or heavy enough material.

I put our 4x6 on my motorcycle last Pride and it was just lovely. I still have my father's flag that rode on his motorcycle when he rode across the country when he came back from Vietnam.
