I've had ladder tracks on nearly every truck I've owned. I'm planning on getting one for cybee. Adding them has had a 10-15%ish hit to daily mpg on all my other trucks. That's with nothing on them too. Adding ladders will hit it more.

For those of you that have ladder racks, how do they affect your w/mile? Loaded vs unloaded? The racks I'm looking at look like they are designed with aerodynamics in mind. Could be just styling only though.

I would like to install and forget about it. Only loading a ladder on top when I need to. Having a full 325 miles is really nice though for the days when I need them.

You'll never get 325. You wont even get 300.

I haven't noticed a change with the rack on but with it loaded yes. Any air drag more than stock will take away mileage. Just like any vehicle.

I have a full molle rack on mine and with nothing on it, I take a 20-25% hit. To be fair, I also dropped using the OEM aero wheel covers too...

Wheel covers are 4% drop according to our testing, 15% is what the Molle rack will take away.
