Light bar PPF - Benefits?

Hi, i bought some light bar pff, and i haven't installed it yet, because each day i just clean the bugs off it, that are there. Is there any real benefit to the PPF? I mean i am just going to be cleaning the bugs off it, instead of the light, has anyone ever actually had a "thank god i had ppf" on my lightbar moment ?

I don't think the bugs will clean off any easier with the PPF. It might protect the lightbar from getting a rock chip but the odds of getting a rock up that high is very small unless perhaps driving through a sandstorm. On the negative side it could insulate the bar and cause some heat build up and it could detract or scatter the light to some degree. I guess if you already bought it you could try it and let us know how it goes.

Mine got chipped and replaced so i bought the ppf to protect it for future incidents.ppf is very Easy to do and way cheaper than replacement.
