Any aftermarket companies wanna come up with a solution?
why its needed?
1. whenever the tailgate is down carrying a load the backup camera is useless
2. additional viewing angles from 360 cam would be super beneficial for towing applications
3. able to view inside the truck bed when it is full.
4. shoulda been included from the factory......no idea how it was missed that the rear view camera is useless when the tailgate is down for transporting longer items.
5. if its utilized with a lightbar, that connection could be utilized for power and seamlessness.

I've been thinking about this, too. Originally planned to add camera(s) to a rack but then decided I didn't want the rack on the truck all the time. Nor a lightbar for the same reason (range reduction). Currently am using this for when I pick up long materials with the tailgate down and don't want to leave the tonneau open. Works well enough but agree there needs to be a auxiliary camera feed that you can put where-ever. When towing the airstream, I want to put it on the back of that so am now leaning against a fixed camera location but rather a wireless satellite camera I can put wherever the situation requires.

Any of the digital mirror replacement solutions will likely accomplish what you're asking for the rear view anyway. I installed the Wolfbox and experimented with placement on the hitch, the license plate and finally settled on the trim above the tonneau cover. Both of the lower locations were prone to blinding from road spray in even light rain. I just wish one of the aftermarket companies would source a true rear view solution and not just mark up one of the generic dashcam solutions.
