I have a SC visit on the 7th of nov. I think they will be replacing the whole tailgate for one with the Cerberus logo still on it. I had a close look at my existing tailgate, and I was surprised to see a very faint outline of the logo that was once there. so, I'm thinking the service center must have done some refinish work to it before they gave it to me. and this brings another topic to the table The logos and badges on the body are not Permanent and will eventually wear away if some sort of protection is not applied.

I was always thinking they looked very faint and would just “buff” out!

The logos are laser etched. I would take a long time to wear them out naturally.

However, the refinishing process can remove as it sands down the entire surface. If you can see a faint outline of it, it means they didn't go deep enough.

look I don't know how the logo was removed. I was only speculating that they did some refinishing to the tailgate. All I know is that's how I got the truck. And initially I thought it was just missing the logo. It was a friend that pointed out that there are some traces of the logo still there. So, I am assuming that its removal was the result of some refinishing. To say that they didn't go deep enough is irrelevant. Only thing I'm saying is that the logos can be removed either accidentally, purposely, or just wear over time unknowingly and disappointmently. so be careful with the logos.

omg I've had enough of this BS with the service or rather lack of service when you actually open the door to the service center (you have a real issue with the car) there is literally a black hole. It all looks good from outside and it sounds good. but it must be empty inside just full of hot air.

I straight refuse to be careful with my Cerberus badge on a truck with no paint and that’s bulletproof. I’ll take this thing through whatever brush I want and get it the toughest drive thru car wash I can find after that. If the beast logo goes away, it’ll become the CT equivalent of a sleeper. Z06 won’t know what it’s up against at the next red light.

Why was the tailgate being serviced? If it was gouged there is a standard process for resurfacing using a sander. To maintain a consistent look the entire flat surface must be resurfaced. That will definitely remove the laser etching to some degree. They should have pointed that out before they started.

okay I just got back from the service center, and they did get the Cerberus logo on it. but it was after 5pm when I finally got a look at it, and it got dark before i got home. I had no chance to take a good look at it. But when I was at the service center and in low light, I thought I saw a very pronounced swirl pattern. Now last time i was there they told me "Sorry but the tailgates we have on hand came in with some surface staining from the protective film. We will have to reschedule you for that." (wasted my visit that time) Now I suspect that they used one of those same stained tailgates anyway and just refinished the surface. and all of this was done in a rush because they didn't start on the tailgate until I arrived after 4:30pm. I know this because they tell me that "it's almost done". Then I see my CB roll out and roll right by me with what looked like my old tailgate, and it was, because about 10 mins later it rolls by again this time with a tailgate that still had protective film on it. then it wasn't out again for another 15mins. Now I don't know about the other stuff on the work order I haven't had a chance to check any of it. but I don't have a good feeling about it. well see tomorrow. can't believe that they wait until I'm already there to start. It took 2 days to perform a 25 min job. After not getting it done friday, like they said they would. On Friday they inform me that they will need more time, so they move my pickup for today at 5pm. All day in the progress report from the app it only showed the tire pressure check had been completed. I sent them several msg to make sure I don't make the drive for no reason since it wouldn't be the first time they do that to me. And no response at all to any of my mgs and no further progress is reported. I was totaly perpared to come back empty handed. I come in and they are scrambling to get my truck out the door it was like they completely forgot about me. I don't know what to say anymore but I'm not happy with this whole SC experience. I will have better analysis for us of all the work that should have been done tomorrow when the sun comes out.

No that's how i got the truck from the start my logo was missing. I didn't notice it was missing because at first, I didn't even know that it was supposed to have that.

yes, you can do whatever you want to your truck tuff guy it's your truck but at least you're starting with a tail gate that has a logo on it. mine was gone before I owned it!

Mine was delivered super faded too. Barely noticeable and I knew it was supposed to be there. Other beasts I’ve seen have a dark grey logo but mine was more of a polished look. It was lighter than the rest of tailgate, not darker. I don’t really care personally but if you do there’s companies that do heavy duty stickers. I’ll try to find one and edit this reply.

I think this happened to me on the highway these 2 fools in a Rivian are coming up behind me and I'm cursing at around 70 their approaching me on the left. And I can see the passenger waving his hand telling the driver go, go, go I let them get right square with me and punched it, just left them in the dust I was gone couldn't see them in the mirror no more they were so far back so I slow back down to reasonable speeds I'm chug'n-along and I see them coming again. I'm thinking these fuck'n jokes didn't learn their lesson last time. I see them and this time he's really pushing the driver to step on it he wanted to beat me so desperately. I let them come up to 1/2 a car length from the front so they can see me smile and swish gone again. no chance the Rivian vs Beast:sleep:
