Not in the least. The ball needs to be smooth to be able to swivel the trailer on the ball. I would think maybe a regular ball on the end of a wedge shaped draw bar but any kind of length would hurt the engineering and or stress, the drawbar

The closest thing that I have come up with for mine is a stainless steel draw bar with a stainless steel ball.

Sorry, I was just trying to be funny. I fail regularly.

I just have a plain ol hitch. What I did do however is buy one of these to really help tighten things while towing. I found the CT hitch point quite loose. Does kind of further the aesthetic point of this thread but function over form when towing.

Of course, now I’ve seen a lot of people put tennis balls over their trailer hitch ball, if you can find a hitch ball cover that looks like that, that would be OK looking, but of course I don’t leave my hitch in the back of the truck because I’m too afraid of hitting my shins on The trailer hitch ball or having it stolen.

Tesla calls out 7.3" for pin to ball distance with the 1,100 pound tongue weight limit.
They also call it out as 49 inches from center of rear axle, which I measure as closer to 8 inches pin to ball.

And they still haven't commented on weight distribution setups.

Trailer came with Blue Ox, but I switched to B&W Continuum for easier connecting/ disconnecting and adjustability. It works well, but does bottom out slightly on our steep driveway approach... and I just realized I could raise the suspension before turning in...

Is that hitch able to be raised to any of the higher positions than shown here? It looks like the bumper would be in the way, or is there more clearance than there appears to be in the photo?
