Loose Bolt?

I was cleaning out the vault this morning and noticed this loose bolt laying in the storage lid parameter.
It looks about the size of the hinge plate bolts but they're all there. I couldn't see further up on the other end of the hinge though.

That looks like the bolts used in the Bed to hold down the D Ring into the floor of the bed
When I order via Tesla extra bed floor D rings that looks like those bolts you remove to put in the new D rings

I compared this to the bed, D ring mount points and its a bit smaller.

That is definitely the bolt that holds the entire front end of the truck onto the chassis! Usually the truck will slide to a stop without any problem.

If you don't see any missing bolts, it was probably dropped during assembly and was not retrieved. In effect, Tesla gave you a free bolt that you can keep as a spare.

If you had a good conscience, you would send Tesla $0.04 so you can sleep well at night.

It's a Tesla. The Bolt is 14 bucks.

This is so true. I remember when I got my 2020 Model Y, I found an extra door reflector in the door pocket.

When my wife got her model 3, I found a plastic push pin in the door pocket.

Didn’t find any extra parts in my truck though lol.

Well, if they're throwing extra stuff in, why not throw in something worth while like a windshield wiper or a new tire?
