Glad I did a search before starting a new post and I was expecting a lot more comments.

I got my CT in February. Haven't rotated tires and haven't touched the tires since I got the truck.

Monday morning, I'm driving and hearing an odd noise coming from front left tire. Sounded rotationaly so I checked the tires for nails. Didn't find one. Kept driving and heard a strange scraping sound at low speeds. Seemed that when I turned the wheel to the left, it went away. Very worrying, but figured something was just rubbing against the wheel. Tried to make a video of what was in the wheel well, but nothing was there.

When I went to inspect the lug nuts, 2 were loose. Unbelievable that after 8 months, the lug nuts were coming loose. Went to an auto parts store and bought a lug wrench and tightened all the nuts. There was varying degrees of looseness in several of the nuts.

The odd scraping sound immediately went away. Recommend every CT owner buys a lug wrench and periodically tighten them in case vibrations are the cause of the loosening. Time to start keeping a log. Can't imagine what would happen if a tire came off the truck. Very scary.

Here's an amazon link for a $17 folding lug wrench that you should keep handy. https://a.co/d/8DbvgPW

I think this thread should be pinned and Tesla should contact every CT owner to have them double check their nuts.

today one of my lug nuts (right front) came completely off. luckily I have the cyber wheel covers so it was stuck inside the wheel cover making this loud banging noise. I checked and all of them were loose on that wheel. I had my tires rotated recently at Discount Tire so I am sure they were tightened down good. I pulled all my wheel covers off and all of my other wheels were fine. I spoke with someone who told me there must be some vibration that is causing this. I also have a vibration in the left rear view mirror at high speeds and I have the front motor chirping sound that Tesla told me is normal.
Same with me. Loud noise, banging and clunking in front left while driving in parking lot. People were pointing and staring. Lucking I pulled off wheel cover and saw the locking lug nut completely off and scratching and banking tire. Hand tightened.

I do believe this was Discount Tire not tightening the lug nuts properly, because I have checked them a couple of times since this happened and they have not loosened up since.
