I pickup up my Cybertruck and went through a check list but one was not checking the lug nuts. I got home and had a metal on metal sound on may rear suspension . I thought I would look at it, that when I found one lug nut almost off and the others finger tight. Tighten them all to 150 ft/lbs and all is good.

I wasn't sure how they do this at the factory but I would think that all the bolt get put on at the same time with a robot arm. AI starting it's take over to sabotage Tesla!

This is terrifying to be honest.

I can give them a pass on some things, but how do you sell vehicles with lug nuts loose. This isn’t the first one I’ve seen either.

unsafe and unacceptable imo. Hope Tesla QA gets revamped.

We wrote to the show room where we picked it up and they were on top of it. They were getting all the information to send to corporate. They said they used to check by doing a short ride and re- torque the tires. Corporate wanted to keep the miles down on the vehicle so they did minimal to move the vehicle around.

today one of my lug nuts (right front) came completely off. luckily I have the cyber wheel covers so it was stuck inside the wheel cover making this loud banging noise. I checked and all of them were loose on that wheel. I had my tires rotated recently at Discount Tire so I am sure they were tightened down good. I pulled all my wheel covers off and all of my other wheels were fine. I spoke with someone who told me there must be some vibration that is causing this. I also have a vibration in the left rear view mirror at high speeds and I have the front motor chirping sound that Tesla told me is normal.

I would doubt this. My money is on discount tire not properly torquing that wheel to 151 ft lbs. You may want to check that the others are actually at 151 ft lbs.

I did and all others were at least 150.. I have heard several reports of loose lug nuts on CT now.

Probably fine then, i wouldn't worry if they are all properly torqued now. Lugs should not come loose regardless of any amount of vibration, even violent vibrations.

That is unusual, the equipment used to secure and torque the lug nuts to spec at the factory is typically pretty foolproof.

I wonder if some troublemakers snuck on to the lot and did this intentionally.
Video footage was just released from
His delivery center of the vehicle speeding away from
the Lot before finding all CT lug nuts had been loosened

100% sure Discount Tire messed up. Do your own tire rotations if you want it done right.
