Have an odd situation I can't put my finger on. When at low speeds usually when accelerating from a light or stop sign and hit a small bump (i.e. like small 1-2" diff in road height) it sounds like my cybertruck is completely bottoming out the suspension on the front end. It's this loud bang like you've just hit the biggest pot hole of your life. Reality is for instance they had dug a portion of the road way out for piping and back filled temporarily with gravel, there was a very small difference in height and made it sound like I just hit a 6" deep hole and completely bottomed out the suspension?

Anyone else experience this or have any ideas?

Awd or beast? I do notice that in low/sport. The suspension tends to be very stiff, due to the weight of the vehicle small bumps do transmit a lot more. Recently, I have turned off auto raise and have been keeping it in medium.

Yea mines done it sense day one. Havnt done anything aside from steady speed over bumps. Sounds like something loose. I figured it was normal.

I just got my truck about 3 months ago, it was a demo unit prior with 3k miles on it so I haven't had it serviced in my time owning it. Was just researching to see if there was feedback that I could add before submitting for service request and waiting a month or more, etc.

I hear it in my beast. Washboard dirt roads and any slight bumps can recreate the sound under acceleration. I think the commonly accepted reason is that the beast has a permanent magnet motor in the front, and front biases power under acceleration while the AWD has the permanent magnet motors in the rear. That sound is a slight wheel hop. If you have a beast, try finding a piece of road where you can recreate the sound, then put it into slip start and see if it reduces it.

I have a 2024 Foundation beast and it does the exact same thing and I'm pretty sure it is because of the front-wheel drive most of the time. If you accelerate over a bump, the front-wheel drive magnifies the bump because of the torque of the wheels. Out of spec review did a review of the beast and came up with the same conclusion.

Same here. The Beast especially is known for this behavior over road surfaces that are not smooth due to exactly the reasons you have described.

Ahh, yes mine is a Beast as well....so it's just a function of the truck overall and nothing that needs to be fixed or can be fixed to address it then I take it? Still love the truck, but that has been the only negative is that hte ride quality overall with this little "feature" is a bit lack luster lol.

If you have a Beast its the front drive bias. You can confirm that by putting it in 'slippery' mode in dynamics, fixes it in both my beasts. Been hoping it will be an update that will keep it enabled but doubt it since its 'anti' economical for the whr/mi

Got it sounds like what everyone has stated is exactly what is going on, appreciate the feedback, always a wealth of knowledge to be gained prior to wasting time with Tesla. Much appreciated!!

I did have a loaner 25 FS beast for a week and noticed the suspension was improved over certain rough areas and less of the normal FWD hop, possibly due to better suspension. I too wish I could keep that mode enabled or a shortcut to quickly enable it for the final few miles of my drive home. S3XY buttons which could usually do this seems to be against development for the CT.
