The tools, I already had.
1: Brand new Cybertruck wheel, tire, and TPS - Facebook Market $500
2: Badland offroad jack - Harbor Freight Black Friday Sale $250 (I made the mount plate for it, got it powder coated and I laser etched)
3: used Milwaukee impact (tool only)- Facebook market $140
4: new Milwaukee tire inflator (tool only) - Facebook market $120
5: flip up bed tie down (2 pieces) - Amazon $27
6: Ares lug nut socket kit - Amazon $35
7: spare tire cover - Amazon $17

This setup is going to be used primarily for road trips. Prices will vary, but saving at least $200 from the Tesla kit. I like my setup better. The second spare belongs to a friend. We got a deal for two and I was picking it up.

Great setup with upgrades and ways to save some money! Did you use a metal brake for your mounting plate and what did you use to “soften” the corners and notching out for the d-ring mount?

Does your bed mat seem to keep everything in place or is the tie-down strapped to the d-ring? I could see incorporating a bracket to bolt into the d-ring mount if there was a concern that would allow the d-ring to be mounted over.

I’ll probably get a set of winter wheels/tires next year and use one from the other set to take along for certain trips. Even though I don’t expect to buy a dedicated spare, outside of FB Marketplace, eBay, etc, I’m curious Tesla will sell a spare tire/wheel outside of their “kit”. I saw this statement on the winter wheels/tires package.

I thought about aluminum, but of course, it had to be stainless. This is 0.050" thick, so it was a pain to bend. I just strapped the jack down. The tools went into the lower bed compartment. I do need to strap down the spare. It didn't hit anything, but under hard acceleration ?, it does move around a little.

Curious if you tried the impact on your lug nuts yet. My DeWalt impact couldn’t break the torque so I bought a breaker bar.

I haven't tried it on the truck, but works fine on a Model 3. Tesla's torque specs is definitely more than a typical car. About 80ftlbs versus 130ftlbs

Just read the manual. It's 151ftlbs for the Cybertruck, so it shouldn't be a problem for the Milwaukee

I may have to get a few Milwaukee tools at some point afterall.?

yeah, the instant torque of the Tesla motors I’ve read is what requires wheels with more torque than most other vehicles.

Facebook Market is your friend. To be totally transparent, I got some of those items for cheaper. These are mostly posted prices. I was able to make a deal on the wheels (2 for $800). And just like eBay, if you lose out on it, there is always another one. Offerup is also another good place for Milwaukee tools. I sell stuff too. I don't get offended by lowball offers. You can always ignore it. I don't have to sell it and they don't have to buy. People get upset over crazy stuff. There's always a happy medium.

I was looking at that same jack and a mount for it. Hadn't pulled the trigger yet as I am debating if I want a 70lb jack. Looks great though man

Nice Setup!

My Setup is similar:

Spare sourced from Tesla Winter Tire Setup I bought
Air Compressor = same Milwaukee air compressor (already had it and bunch of other Milwaukee tools eg chainsaw, impact, etc)
Torque Wrench for Breaking 151' lbs
I have a dual Bottle Jack / Jack Stand in one unit - nice and compact

Tested the setup when I put my Caliper Covers on - easy peasy!

All that being said, mostly a winter or trip setup...most of summer I have dirtbikes in the bed and no additional space for the tire! Thought about getting the roof crossbars and might but good for winter for now!

Very Nice, Did you try out the jack? I was looking at that also to have when I want to go off roading. I like the wheel over the steel one on my regular floor jack.
