My network indicated a huge download to the Cybertruck a few nights ago. Maybe FSD? A previous software update is visible in the same graph, and was significantly smaller of a download. Of note, Firewalla treats downloads for a device as "uploads" to them.

Does not mean FSD is imminent, no.

Honestly, we won't likely see FSD on the CT for a while. Elon says it's in 12.5 and 12.4 still hasn't been released to the masses due to issues.

It was probably map data being updates.

FSD has been in the vehicle all along, just not enabled.

And I'm sure that there's a lot of Cybertrucks have been running FSD on the shadow computer.

With how the current FSD is acting, I would venture to say we don't see it till Q4 if lucky (will happily be wrong).
But as stated above, it's more than likely already installed and is running in shadow mode.
It's what they do for AB testing.

I don't think it was map data. Typically in my Model X and Model S I can see the change in the Nav Data.

No. It's typically just data Tesla is pulling and then updates to shadow mode, maps (not the NAV, but the car is constantly fetching new map data as far as road conditions, signs, traffic, weather, etc.), which have been going on since the CT launch, but it never means a release is imminent. I've been tracking my Teslas since all 3 were accepted onto FSD in 2021. We used to always think big uploads, downloads meant something about a release, but they don't typically correlate.

FSD isn't that big. And you've already been downloading it. It's been in every release for a long time.

There are some really bad lane changing issues I've seen on multiple of the YTers I watch (they do very extensive testing on fsd). So my guess is until it's more refined and they have more CT data, we won't be seeing FSD very soon. But I vastly miss having it (had it on my Model 3 the second you could get it, and continued on my model S) so have spent a lot of time with FSD and honestly use it on virtually every drive .-.

The issue now is it's so good that AB testing is getting difficult apparently xD its hard to tell what's "improved" without breaking something else.

I DONT CARE HOW LONG FSD TAKES. Just GIVE ME LANE ASSIT NOW PLEASE I AM. BEGGING I WILL
PAY $99 a month for it today.
I don’t believe the truck knows how to move it’s steering wheel yet for lane keeping to work. Possibly due to drive by wire and/or rear wheel steering. We may see many of these features all at once after a lot of testing.

Rather than use conjecture to explain why its not working yet, I prefer to take what Tesla/Elon has said about it. It is simply a lower priority for them and they have not completed it yet. He has updated since then with time estimates, but Elon time isnt very accurate.
