Definitely more noise and feel than stock.
The sound is enough to drowned out the wining of the motors.

You can feel the tires on the road. It’s not a wobble or a shake, it’s just a slight vibration. I’m thinking it’s the regen breaking together with the aggressive tread that is giving me the feel in pedal while driving, which increases at higher speeds. I even took it in today to have road force balancing done to rule out that as potentially being the issue. Could be one of the reasons the stock tires are manufactured with the foam inside. I’m not an expert in this.

I’ll post some of the range data after I’ve driven on them a few more days.

Keep us updated on how it affects the range? Also the noise from inside and outside if you notice any difference? Thank you for the post!

All of the "EV" sound damping tires have foam in order for them to be quiet. A person on YouTube found that they weren't actually quieter but significantly changed the tone of the tires at speed into something more like white noise, which is a pretty cool trick.

Also do not try to DIY your own foam into your tire of choice, a guy tried that also and it turns out the glue is the hard part. Finding a glue that can hold in all weather/temperature conditions at extreme speeds is not readily available. His foam balled up and went to one side of the tire and you can imagine how that went being that out of balance.

I’d be curious to know those tires weight and speed ratings. My understanding is (and I haven’t researched it myself yet), is the current OEM all terrain tires are specially designed to handle not only the weight, but the speek capabilities of the Cybertruck. Many tires on the market may handle the weight, but not the speed.

You bring up a very interesting and very valid point.

Which leads me to question, this would mean that almost every person who has replaced tires they do not meet the H 130mph rating that the manufacturer tires have.
These people would include one of the leads over at Tesla, and the CT test vehicles fitted with KO2s in the videos Tesla is using for advertising.

Maybe someone will read this who has experience in this and provide an opinion.

You can put on any tire you’d like in reality, as long as you know their limitations and don’t plan to exceed them…. I would assume your examples above are just that. So if you buy a tire rated to 100 MPH, probably smart to make a mental rule to not exceed that speed.

Agree, common sense is important.

It’s been a few days now. Ride feels better every day. Tires are definitely more sticky on the road than stock tires. The tire sound is noticeable, but blends in well with the motor wining, and the loud BioDefense mode, which I’m constantly running.

Looks good. How does it ride?

I had no intention of modifying the CT, but those stock tires just weren’t doing it.

Went back and forth about downsizing to 18’s, but ultimately decided to keep the stock wheels. I will post a picture once the new covers arrive at the service center, I’m “in the Q” whatever that means.

These are Baja Boss AT’s sizing is the same as stock 285/65 R20

I thought this post may help others who are in the process of deciding.

First of all that tread on the CT looks great and I am sure will provide much better traction off road.

Update:
After 1 week and about 300 miles my wh/mi went up by 15.
Road noise hasn’t gotten better or worse. If someone hasn’t driven with AT tires before, it would take a little getting used to. I may not recommend this tire for the CT owner who doesn’t listen to the radio or blast the ☣ to drowned out some of the road noise.

That said, I love the tires, and I love the fact that it makes my CT unique. The boxy shape of the tires
fits the theme much more than the rounded stock tires. I can’t wait to see if the new wheel cover fit and how they will look.

Outstanding! Love it!!!!
I understand there is a big market to buy the original tires in the Tesla community to be used as spare tires. Good luck.

Update..

after 1200 miles with these tires

-Lifetime wh/mi has increased by 30
- I have gotten used to the road noise, I don’t really notice it anymore.
- Haven’t taken them off-road yet, but winter is around the corner, looking forward to some trips to the mountains.
- They are still very sticky to the road, which I prefer.
- Stock Goodyears are still for sale, I’m assuming in a few more months, there will be more people in need.
- Still very glad I didn’t downsize to 18’s
- Looking at some 20” wheel options, haven’t decided yet.
- More people notice the tire size with the new tires, even though they’re the exact same size as the stock tires.
